For nearly six decades the Caliper Profile has provided high quality information about an individual’s strengths and weaknesses in a work context.  After gaining a thorough understanding of each employee’s development requirements, our clients have often asked us, “What’s next?” or “How can we help our staff build competency in these areas?”

The three most common areas where development needs are identified are:

  • Building more effective communication skills
  • Building stronger resilience and handling setbacks more effectively
  • Leading and Managing a Team

The Caliper Achievement Workshop Series provides competency-based training to help participants increase their comfort in these three key areas.

PROGRAM DETAILS AND SCHEDULE

Workshop 1Assertiveness at Work: Building Highly Effective Communication Skills

“You need to be more assertive.”

This statement is often made to people in their work environment or in their personal lives.

Assertiveness skills are involved in just about every aspect of life.  Non-assertive behaviour results in less than effective performance, increased stress and disruption to relationships.

This workshop is intended to help people stand up for their rights and express what they believe, feel, and want in direct, honest, appropriate ways that respect the rights of the other person.

This workshop is ideal for those with low assertiveness on the Caliper Profile. If you would like a report showing those within your organisation that have low assertiveness, please reach out to our team at info@caliper.com.au for help.

This training will better equip you to:

  • Speak up at meetings and make sure your views are heard and considered
  • Say “no” more confidently to inappropriate or unfair requests
  • Feel comfortable about expressing your opinions if you disagree with someone else’s views
  • Give constructive feedback (and if appropriate criticism) to others
  • Improve outcomes by clarifying and resolving points of difference

What you will receive:

  • Communication training from Caliper’s Managing Director and Executive Coach, Patrick Farrell
  • Caliper Profile Assessment along with a detailed report on your results valued at $275
  • Caliper workbook to be kept as a future reference guide of the workshop

Workshop 2: Resilience at Work: Handling Set-backs and Stress

This workshop is designed for those individuals who find that they do not handle setbacks as well as they need to for maximum effectiveness. Such individuals are likely to have scored in the lower band for Ego-Strength/Resilience on the Caliper Profile, but may also include those ‘perfectionists’ who never seem to do well enough – in their own eyes.

This workshop is ideal for those with low resilience on the Caliper Profile. If you would like a report showing those within your organisation that have low resilience, please reach out to our team at info@caliper.com.au for help.

This training will better equip you to:

  • Understand where stress comes from and what may trigger it for you
  • Learn about the different levels of stress, which ones are good for you, and which ones are not
  • Develop ways to manage stress and cope better
  • Begin to build your resilience through a variety of strategies
  • Build a personal resilience plan that you can apply to almost any situation

  • Help your team develop a clearly defined purpose and shared vision
  • Help your team operate within a framework of a powerful commitment to shared values

Facilitated by our most experienced Caliper practitioner Patrick Farrell, these workshops are ideal for all employees, regardless of their position within your organisation.

It is rare to find that every person is completely matched to the role they are performing. Every individual needs to build a broader skill base to be more effective today, and into the future.

The Caliper Achievement Workshop Series will equip you and your team to effectively cover the inevitable gaps in behaviour and skill that individuals bring to the workplace.

Participants can sign up for one workshop, or for all three.
